Held on four dates during January), this is a Termite program that is 3 ½ days. The text book is not included in the registration fee. This program is a practical, hands-on laboratory setting with personal, one-on-one instruction. Institute attendance is limited to the first 20 paid registrations.
Staff faculty from the LSU Department of Entomology and the Cooperative Extension Service, representatives from the Louisiana Department of Agriculture & Forestry and the Pest Control Industry.
Room 110 in the Life Sciences Building, across from the Student Union off Highland Road.
Costs & Registration

Meals, Accommodations & Parking
Lunch is available at the Student Union or at a number of nearby off-campus restaurants. Overnight accommodations are available at nearby off-campus hotels. Parking may or may not be provided. ( will be notified before class date) A map of the campus and a parking pass will be provided contact LPMA for information.
Certificate of Accomplishment
A certificate of accomplishment will be awarded to each person who completes the Institute. A presentation of the certificate will be made available on the last day of class. For all in attendance and who successfully completes the program. Licensees and Technicians may receive Recertification Credit by attending the entire program. This program is an approved Comprehensive Termite Program.
Students will compile a reference manual from the notes taken or materials distributed during the course of the sessions. In addition, each participant may purchase a copy of Truman’s Scientific Guide to Pest Control Operations, seventh edition for $130.00
Registration is limited to the first twenty (20) paid registration forms received at the LPMA office. For more information call LPMA at (225) 927-5722. All requests for refunds must be received no later than January 20, 2024. Refund requests received prior to December 22, 2023 will receive a refund, less a $50 administration fee. After December 22, the refund will be 50% of the program cost.
